PS3 Hard Drive Upgrade from 250GB to 500GB

Another update,
I've just been finishing up my hard drive upgrade from 250GB to 500GB. The extra space is necessary if you enjoy downloading games from PSN and have many games installed.

Check out the video, ask me if you need tips on how to do it. The video shows you what to do after you have put in the new HDD.
Copy the latest firmware obtained from the Playstation website, and place it in a folder on a USB stick or SD card (formatted to FAT) called UPDATE (case sensitive). Place the UPDATE folder in a folder called PS3 so that the path length looks like this : (SD/USB > PS3 > UPDATE >

The procedure is super low invasive, and it does not take long either. You just need a screw driver, and the ability to screw a total of 4 screws. It only took me a few minutes to make the swap.

Don't forget to backup your data though before removing the hard drive. Use the PS3's backup option under System Settings.
